The academic training in a place of academic excellence and high international medical and scientific prestige allowed me to reassess everything that I was taught and learned in our country, both in the faculty and in the hospital residence, where I had excellent teachers and colleagues who stimulated me constantly.
Having been trained in one of the best universities in Argentina and having been a university award gave me an important comparative advantage to take advantage of my stay abroad, where in addition to incorporating knowledge of new techniques and procedures, I had the opportunity to train fully as an intensivist neonatologist and clinical researcher. Undoubtedly this fact was the most significant on my return, because in the last 25 years I have managed to build a solid research group that has achieved important achievements in the generation of new knowledge that are reflected in the numerous publications in prestigious international journals in the specialty.
From the human point of view, it allowed me to know and live in depth a culture that left waves in my way of understanding medicine, assistance to the sick, teaching, science and research.
I am very happy to have returned and to actively collaborate for a better formation of first level human resources in our environment.
My greatest pride is the alumni, residents, doctorate and postdoctoral fellows who have worked with me and today already trained multiply and generously share their knowledge and efforts with the new generations.
